Popular Destinations of Heber City 

If you love to golf, Heber City is the place to be. There are five 18-hole golf courses tucked into the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. Not only are the courses top-notch, but the weather is perfect to enjoy golfing with cooler summer temperatures and crisp fall weather. Some avid golfers may tell you that hitting the fairways in September and October is the best time to enjoy some of the best golf you'll ever experience. The Provo River is a top destination for fly fishing. The Provo is a premier blue ribbon and trout fishery and it is not unlikely to catch a large fish of 18 inches or more. This river is said to have 3000 fish per mile. Homestead Crater is one of the only places of its kind in Utah and the Continental US. Many people don't realize that you can scuba dive in a geothermal spring that is hidden within a 55-foot tall beehive-shaped rock in the mountains of Utah. The downtown area of Heber City is a quaint and small area that is fun to walk with local shops and restaurants, every year you can find Heber Market on Main in the summer.

Public schools serving the youngest residents of Heber City are part of the Wasatch County School District.
