This is the only warm scuba diving destination in the entire continental United States. In the winter in Midway, ice castles are constructed all around out of hundreds of icicles that naturally form in the area. These icicle castles are lit up with LED lights and bring visitors from all over to enjoy the sparkling ice structures. Midway is just outside of Wasatch Mountain State Park full of year-round activities including skiing in the winter and hiking and golfing in the summer. Midway also lies just outside of the Jordanelle Reservoir giving a quick five minute access to the backside of Deer Valley Resort at the Deer Crest part of Deer Valley. The world class and famous ski resorts of Park City are just 10 minutes down the route of Highway 40.
