Old Town Park City
In 1868, Park City was discovered to have silver and became a small mining camp that grew into a town full of minors, gamblers, merchants, saloon keepers, and other individuals you would expect to see in an old western mining town. The city was officially incorporated in the year 1884 as mining continued to flourish through the 1930s. Park City's booming mining industry declined in the 1960s and the first ski resort in Park City opened in 1963 turning the town into the world class popular ski destination that it is today. The Old Town area of Park City located right in the hub of downtown, within walking distance of Main Street, has preserved much of this historic charm creating a highly desirable place to live or vacation right next to everything that people love in Park City.
